But there are fine slopes for little ones       and novices as well; 85% of the slopes are blue and green. There's a fine 500-foot altitude difference to enjoy at the close by ski mountain Boreal. Boreal gets 33 feet of beautiful snow yearly, and has 10 different ski lifts serving   the 41 slopes. There's a magnificent 5.2-mile-long type IV-V whitewater section on Yuba River - South Fork close by, the Kingvale to Cisco Grove section. Only those skilled in whitewater rafting and kayaking should attempt to paddle this section of Yuba River - South Fork.
