Shirttail Creek is a very popular campground among visitors from Nevada City. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yuba River - South Fork; don't leave Shirttail Creek without first going for a hike along the Halls Ranch Trail. Creek is too pleasant to leave out, and a round of golf at nearby Nevada County Country Club is a perfect way to kill some time. This camp ground is one of the wonderful places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The kind personnel and all the good passtime activities
will make you feel splendid. Going camping for a couple of days here in California is something you ought to do. Shirttail Creek is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that rains the most while July is commonly
the driest month. So many local attractions and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back persistently. Ok, you've been indoors for too long, now's the time for going camping; Shirttail Creek in California is the outdoors at its best.
If you like the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, playing golf, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. This is a glorious campground. A tour to Malakoff Diggins State Park when you're here at Shirttail
Creek is a magnificent idea, and there are pleasant sites to discover along the Lafayette Ridge Trail. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Don’t forget to explore Selby Flat while you're here at Shirttail Creek; going for a hike on the Humbug
Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Loads of people stay at Shirttail Creek when going to Empire Mine State Park. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Quail Valley Golf Course, and nearby you hit upon the South Yuba Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. Shirttail Creek is situated in a region with loads of fun things to do; it is a good escape from the mundane.
