This campground is so striking. The peak of Sugarloaf Mountain can be seen from Shirttail Creek, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Lafayette Ridge Trail. There's so much to do right next door to Shirttail Creek; you always have a splendid time when you're here. |

Near Shirttail Creek you discover delightful sites like Eagle Ravine; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Yuba River - South Fork. Shirttail Creek is a quite wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; through January this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the
| driest. High temperatures at Shirttail Creek during the summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while Shirttail Creek night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. The perfect pick of local attractions, and the perfect variety of outdoors recreation are good reasons to come. Be careful coming to Shirttail Creek, you might not ever want to go home again. from Nevada City; stopping by Malakoff Diggins State Park is a great thing to do. You could also explore Lava Cap Reservoir if you're here at Shirttail Creek; it's close by; you can have a good hiking adventure along the South Yuba Trail. In California you never run out of
outdoors enjoyable stuff. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the Humbug Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Yuba River - Middle Fork is a glorious whitewater spot nearby.

is frequently visited by campers from Nevada City. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Shirttail Creek. Near Shirttail Creek you come across the Green Valley Trail which is a good hiking trail. This is in fact a good campground. Looking for some flowing water? Try Gold Run, and Nevada County Country Club is a good golf course nearby.
