Summer can be hot, daytime temps 100+ in July and August, nights are warm 75-85. Winter is relatively cold, but in 14 years here, there's only been one freeze that damaged plants at all, although we get a couple nights in the low 30s. Outdoors people generally love this part of California. Sam's Family Spa is an old favorite with people in Cathedral City.

| Through the warm months at Sam's Family Spa highs are typically in the 100's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 70's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 70's; night lows during the wintertime for Sam's Family Spa tend to be in the 40's.

Have a good hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 4; if you fancy a little side tour, try West Wide Canyon. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Bear Mountain, and Joshua Tree National Park is a brilliant spot close
by.
The perfect local attractions and such a perfect variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back again and again. There is so much enjoyable stuff to do in the neighborhood of Sam's Family Spa, and it is one of scores of perfect campgrounds in this neighborhood.
Desert Dunes Golf Club is a golf course near Sam's Family Spa, and do take a hike on the Hi View Nature Trail.
Sam's Family Spa gets very little precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. For you golfers we recommend nearby Hidden Springs Country Club; going to Mount San Jacinto State Park is a good thing to do.
Feeling down from spending too much time inside, No problem; Sam's Family Spa is a perfect local campground if you happen to be in California.
