The trees of Pygmy Forest are a wonderful source of shade on hot summer days; Russian River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Salt Point State Park. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rancheria Creek. Lakes? Sure, Lake Oliver is nearby.
During the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 60's at Salt Point State Park, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Salt Point State Park sink into the 30's.
