Campground is right by the Tomales Point Trail, and a quick journey to Redwood Creek is positively a wonderful idea. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Monte Rio Fire Trail, and Redwood Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Big Sulphur Creek is a magnificent whitewater
spot next to Ring Canyon Campground, and lots of people from Rio Nido come here. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Sulphur Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Near Ring Canyon Campground
you hit upon Forgotten Valley which is a splendid place to have a look at, and Armstrong Redwoods State Park is both fine and picturesque. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ring Canyon Campground a wet location; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest
month is July. This is such a pleasant campground. Take a hike on the Cadd Fire Trail; a round of golf at nearby Northwood Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time. Some people stay at this campground to be near Armstrong Redwoods State Park. Summertime brings highs in
the 60's to Ring Canyon Campground, and the night is a tad colder of course, usually in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's with temperatures at Ring Canyon Campground dipping down into the 40's through winter nights.
