Boulder Creek Golf & Country Club is a great golf course close by; the Butano Ridge Loop Trail offers hiking at its best. Redwood Rest Resort truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on San Lorenzo River; perfect hiking is available along the Summit Trail.
