Red Fir - Eldorado National Forest, Northern Sierra Nevada, California

  Several people camp here for the purpose of being close to Marshall Gold Discovery State Park. A fine place for whitewater paddling near Red Fir is Cosumnes River - Middle Fork, and a trip to Coon Hollow revitalizes the soul. This is beyond doubt a nice campground. The Pigeon Roost Trail offers hiking at its best, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of American River - South Fork.
Among the things you can do close to Red Fir are whitewater paddling, hiking, and playing golf, so getting bored is not something that is likely to
    happen. You definitely should go for the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's great hiking along the Nevada Point Trail, and Camino Heights Golf Course is a wonderful golf course close by.
Everybody must go camping every now and then, and Red Fir in California is the outdoors at
its greatest. So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Red Fir, definitely astonishing. Take a little visit to Ringgold Creek if you're here at Red Fir, and at Red Fir you can distinguish Sacramento Hill. This campground is so scenic. While you're here at Red Fir you will meet lots of people from close by Placerville, and if you're here why not go to Cedar Ravine.

be complete without a trip to close by Indian Grinding Rock State Park.
Red Fir gets a common amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. If you are in California through camping season, you should go camping. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always scenic.
All the great local attractions in close proximity and the great variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back persistently. For the period of the warm days of summer at Red Fir highs are mostly in the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Red Fir. The staff that operates this campground and lots of cool stuff to do have loads of people coming here.
Red Fir is a popular spot with campers from Placerville. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Red Fir; Bake Oven Trail is a great local trail; don't leave without visiting Marshall Gold Discovery State Park.
