Here at Recreation Point there are plenty of people from Clovis, and Gates Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Throughout the summertime months at Recreation Point temperatures are frequently in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Recreation Point descend into the 30's. As if Recreation Point wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so you won’t run out of things to do. Scores of people opt for this campground for the purpose of being near Millerton Lake State Park. This is such a wonderful campground. A round of golf at nearby Palm Lakes Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time, and if you don't mind getting drenched,   you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River.
