Pinnacles National Monument is a pleasant national park; nearby McCabe Canyon is a magnificent place to go. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Pinnacles Campground, so little time. There are plenty of folks from Paicines here at Pinnacles Campground; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Chalone Peak Trail. This campground is a lovely spot to go to. A good spot for whitewater
    paddling in the neighborhood of Pinnacles Campground is San Antonio; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the High Peaks Trail.
This is such a fun spot for a campground. Places like Fremont Peak State Park are great to visit; going for a hike on the Balconies Trail is
always a tremendous adventure. You can run the rapids of Arroyo Seco River in the neighborhood of Pinnacles Campground, and Arroyo Seco River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. Pinnacles Campground is pretty dried out typically; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest.
Through the days of summer here at Pinnacles Campground, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 90's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 60's with temperatures at
 
Pinnacles Campground dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Hollister Hills State Park is a good location to stretch your legs a bit; nearby you hit upon the Tunnel Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
