If you haven’t been to Pinnacles National Monument, you must schedule some time for it if you're here, and Fremont Peak State Park is a glorious site to stretch your legs a bit. It is very waterless here at Pinnacles Campground typically; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. If you come to this campground,
    you will have a brilliant time for sure. There are some good whitewater spots on Arroyo Seco River. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Pinnacles Campground. On a good day at Pinnacles Campground you can take a hike along the High Peaks Trail; there are plenty of
folks from Paicines here at Pinnacles Campground.
Throughout the days of summer highs here at Pinnacles Campground get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 60's, and night lows at Pinnacles Campground during the winter typically sink into the 30's. The Tunnel Trail is a nice hiking trail next to Pinnacles Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, San Antonio offers some magnificent whitewater. This campground has so much cool stuff to offer.
 
If the weather is fine here at Pinnacles Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chalone Peak Trail; when you're here it's always fun to stop by Hollister Hills State Park.
McCabe Canyon is a perfect place to spend some time at; get yourself into a kayak and hit Arroyo Seco River. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Pinnacles Campground called the Balconies Trail. Lakes? Sure, Bear Gulch Reservoir is around here.
