Hiking is a popular thing to do around Orchard Springs Resort; Green     Valley Trail is a good local trail; get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of American River - North Fork. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things right next door to Orchard Springs Resort. If you're stopping by Orchard Springs Resort from Colfax, you won't be the only one; when you're here it's always fun to pop by Auburn State Park. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, you need to get out of the house; Orchard Springs Resort is a good local campground if you happen to be in California. Coming to this campground is always a great idea. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bear River; Indian Flat is a good location here at Orchard Springs Resort. Really great skiing awaits you at Soda Springs, and a round of golf at nearby Darkhorse Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time.
