| warmed up. Going to Zmudowski State Beach close to Onterra Monterey Bay is a magnificent thing to do; paddling on San Lorenzo River is so much fun. Carmel River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Soberanes Canyon Trail. A perfect site like Marina State Beach near Onterra Monterey Bay is too pleasant to leave out, and don't leave Onterra Monterey Bay without first going for a hike along the San Clemente Trail.
