All the tremendous local attractions in the vicinity and such a tremendous variety of outdoors recreation are tremendous reasons to come. There are wonderful sites to explore along the Mission Trail, and Palomar Mountain State Park is both wonderful and pretty. A number of people stay here for the purpose of being close to San Pasqual Battlefield State Park.

to come here. Oakvale Park is a tremendous camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Santa Rosa Mountains. Don't leave Oakvale Park without first going for a hike along the Magee Trail, and at Oakvale Park you can catch a sight of Bottle Peak.
Coming to this campground
is always a great idea. Lakes? Sure, Lake Wohlford is in close proximity, and there's tremendous hiking along the Aguanga Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Reidy Creek Golf Course is a splendid golf course close by, and drift
down the rapids of Escondido Creek in a kayak.
Go for a hike on the Gomez Trail, and obviously, all our national parks are good places to explore and Cabrillo National Monument is no exception. This campground is a great spot to stop at. If you come at the right time of year,
Los Penasquitos Creek offers some fine whitewater, and San Pasqual Battlefield State Park is a nice place to go to on a beautiful day. Oakvale Park is pretty dried out typically; the wettest month of the year is regularly January, that's the one that rains the most while July is
regularly the driest month.
During the summertime highs here at Oakvale Park reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's while Oakvale Park night low temperatures through the winter are in the 40's.
