Oakvale Park is one of the sites to camp here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Oakvale Park. Take a hike on the Mission Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Escondido Creek. A lot of people stay here to be right next door to San Pasqual Battlefield State Park.

All our national parks are brilliant places to stop at, and Cabrillo National Monument is no exception,
and there are other places here than Oakvale Park, for example Lake Wohlford. This campground has so many amusing things to offer. Palomar Mountain State Park is both glorious and charming, and it's in close proximity to Oakvale Park; while you're here and you like golf, you can
explore Woods Valley Golf Club. Oakvale Park is usually a pretty waterless spot; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July.
While you're here at Oakvale Park you can take a hike along the Magee Trail; lots of people from Valley Center come here.
During the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 80's at Oakvale Park. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Oakvale Park are in the 40's.
And if that's
not sufficient there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Los Penasquitos Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; enjoy a round of golf at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
