| | New Brighton State Beach is a very well loved campground by the people from Capitola. Summer brings highs in the 70's to New Brighton State Beach. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at New Brighton State Beach dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This campground has everything. Soquel Cove is in the neighborhood and always tremendous to have a look at; float down the rapids of San Lorenzo River in a kayak.

Mountains is unbeatable! Paddling on San Lorenzo River is so much fun, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Moran Lake is just a very short distance away. The high level of rainfall makes New Brighton State Beach a pretty wet site; throughout January this area sees
| the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Near New Brighton State Beach you stumble on a golf course called De Laveaga Golf Course & Lodge, and Seacliff State Beach is a splendid spot to stretch your legs a bit.
New Brighton State Beach is a good camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Santa Cruz Mountains. The caring operators of the campground and the good mass of fun activities have many people coming here.
