Playing golf is lots of fun at Lake Redding Golf Course, and you can run the rapids of Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary.
It's impossible to run out of amusing stuff to do close to Moore Creek; it is a glorious escape from the routine. A round of golf at nearby Allen's Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time, and Cottonwood Creek - North Fork is a glorious whitewater |
spot nearby. Moore Creek is a wet site that gets much rainfall; throughout the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Moore Creek is Bear Creek, and popping by Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. During the summertime months at Moore Creek temperatures are generally in the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Moore Creek.
