Hayfork Creek has a nice 21-mile-from-start-to-finish type IV-V whitewater stretch close by, the 3 miles West of Hayfork to Hyampom portion. Only those expert in whitewater kayaking and rafting should attempt to run this stretch of Hayfork Creek. Naturally, whitewater kayaking and rafting is amusing but risky; check current conditions prior to departure. The 6.7-mile-from-beginning-to-end Divide Trail is a pretty great outdoors trail having a perfect 1,022-foot
 
    elevation variation. Divide Trail is a demanding five hours of trekking. A good 8-mile-in-length gorgeous trail featuring an altitude difference of 4,155 feet can be found in close proximity; this is the Rough Gulch Trail. Rough Gulch
 Trail necessitates one and a half days to backcountry walk; it's a challenging trail. 6.6 miles of charming backcountry hiking trail can be encountered in the vicinity; this is the Ruth Hayfork Trail featuring a variation in height of 2,939 feet. When you're backcountry trekking the demanding Ruth Hayfork Trail you should plan more or less one day for the backcountry walk. On a pretty day you get a vista of Plummer Peak from Mesa Pines Mobile Home Park. Weaverville
