Throughout the summertime at Mather Family Camp highs are mostly in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mather Family Camp are in the 20's. As if Mather Family Camp wasn't sufficient, you can also go whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's completely out of the question to get bored.

| exciting stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. Going for a hike along the El Capitan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; you'll probably meet some people from Yosemite National Park here. If you come to this campground, you will have a great time for sure. Hit the slopes at Badger Pass in the vicinity, and Big Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby.

campground has so incredibly much. While you're here at Mather Family Camp you can take a hike along the Chilnualna Fall Trail; on a great day you can take a hike along the Yosemite Falls Trail. All year is a great time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you like the outdoors. Hiking
along the Pohono Trail is brilliant fun; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Merced River - South Fork. All the wonderful local attractions in close proximity and such a wonderful variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back many times.
