| | While visiting this area in California it's a nice idea to go camping for a couple of days too. Gates Lake is a great lake near Mammoth Pool, and Sierra Summit is a perfect local ski area. There's more to do in the neighborhood of Mammoth Pool other than just hanging out such as fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so it's not possible to get bored.
