| | Alright, time to get out and breathe some fresh air, time to get out, and Long Point in California is a really wonderful place to spend some time. And that's not all you can do here at Long Point. The wonderful folks of Quincy like to hang out close by, and there's glorious hiking along the Eureka Lake Trail. Summertime highs at Long Point commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Long Point |
sink into the 20's. The kind reception and all the tremendous passtime activities have folks coming here. California is a wonderful place for campers. Long Point is a campground esteemed by the folks in Quincy. Long Point is one of the places to camp here in the Northern
| Sierra Nevada. It's not possible to run out of fun stuff to do close to Long Point; to be at this place is wonderful fun any time. Going to Plumas-Eureka State Park near Long Point is a glorious thing to do; paddling on Feather River - Middle Fork is so much fun. Coming to this campground is always a nice idea. American Valley is right here at Long Point; get covered with water paddling on Feather River - Middle Fork. when you're here at Long Point is never a bad idea, and going for a hike on the Claremont Trail is always a fine adventure. From a precipitation point of view Long Point is a relatively common spot; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is the month with the
least amount of precipitation. If you go for the outdoors, you won’t be disenchanted; there's hiking, and whitewater paddling, so it's out of the question to get bored. Indian Creek Feather Tributary has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; don't leave Long Point without
first going for a hike along the Cleghorn Bar Trail. This campground is a nice place to check out. You get a fine panorama of Radio Hill from Long Point; there are great sites to look at along the Finger Board Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Point; Third Divide Trail is a splendid local trail, and as expected East Branch Mill Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting. Such a delightful choice of attractions and such a delightful variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back time and again.
