Have a fine hiking adventure along the Cleghorn Bar Trail. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go back     home again. Feather River - Middle Fork is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Long Point; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Third Divide Trail. High temperatures at Long Point through the summer months are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Long Point temperatures descend to the 20's. Going for a camping trip here in California is something you should do. Such a tremendous pick of attractions and such a tremendous variety of outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came. There's lots of outdoors recreation available nearby such as hiking, fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. The positive surroundings and the good quality of everything   here attract people from all over. This campground is so great. A gorgeous lake like Crystal Lake near Long Point is a tremendous place to stop at, and going for a hike along the Eureka Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. So much entertaining stuff right next door to Long Point, absolutely extraordinary. Long Point is next to Plumas-Eureka State Park which is a charming place, and Radio Hill is pretty and can be made out from here. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. A great place like American Valley here at Long Point is too great to miss, and swing by East Branch Mill Creek it's a great place to have a look at. This is a great campground. When you're here at Long Point it's always fun to explore Plumas National Forest, and you can run the rapids of Feather River - Middle Fork. Hiking along the Finger Board Trail is pleasant fun, and there's whitewater on Indian Creek Feather Tributary for all you adrenaline people. Long Point is a good location of typical rain; throughout January this area sees the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. While you're here at Long Point you will meet lots of folks from close by Quincy; do take a hike on the Claremont Trail.
