A tour to Lone Rock wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Plumas-Eureka State Park, and everybody loves American Valley. This is such a fun place for a campground. Hiking along the Cleghorn Bar Trail is glorious fun, and Feather River - Middle Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. From a precipitation point of view Lone Rock is a quite typical location; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is frequently the driest month.
