Rock is a great idea, and Lone Rock is right by the Claremont Trail. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Lone Rock is unbeatable! Take a hike on the Finger Board Trail, and at Lone Rock you always meet someone from Quincy. All the jolly people and the glorious facilities
makes the visit here worthwhile. Get your sleeping bag packed and get your motor running; Lone Rock is a fine local campground if you happen to be in California. There's such an incredible array of things to do in the vicinity of Lone Rock, and lots of people like to come here
to escape. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A tour to Lone Rock wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Plumas-Eureka State Park, and everybody loves American Valley. This is such a fun place for a campground. Hiking along
the Cleghorn Bar Trail is glorious fun, and Feather River - Middle Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. From a precipitation point of view Lone Rock is a quite typical location; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is frequently the driest month.
