Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is peerless! Everybody loves Plumas-Eureka State Park, and the summit of Radio Hill can be made out from Lone Rock. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Indian Creek Feather Tributary, and hey, East Branch Mill Creek is a great local stream. | The personnel of this great campground and the great huge number of fun activities beat anything. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. There are fine spots to discover along the Eureka Lake Trail; get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Feather River - Middle Fork. There's a heap of outdoors recreation available in the neighborhood such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. This is a glorious campground. you won't be the only one. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lone Rock highs are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Lone Rock dipping down into the 20's all through
winter nights. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Going for a hike on the Cleghorn Bar Trail is always a great adventure; American Valley is a great location to check out. This campground is so glorious. Don't leave
Lone Rock without first going for a hike along the Third Divide Trail, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Claremont Trail. This camp ground is one of the delightful places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are so many enjoyable things in the vicinity of Lone Rock, and it is a great campground. If you are in California during camping season, you must go camping.
