Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Twin Lakes, and you can go for a hike on the Sheep Creek Trail. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. At Live Oak you always meet someone from Sequoia National Park, and you must certainly dedicate some time to Willow Meadow while you're here at Live Oak. The surroundings of this campground have such an incredible array of things to offer. Going for a hike on the High Sierra Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and stopping by Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Good hiking is available along the Atwell Hockett Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Kaweah River - North Fork.
