There's more to do next to Limekiln State Park other than just hanging out such as swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. It's not possible to run out of amusing things to do in close proximity to Limekiln State Park; when you're here you're always having a perfect time.
Limekiln State Park is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying
    the Santa Lucia Range. So many local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are good motives to come.
Having a fine time at Limekiln State Park is painless. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Limekiln State Park called the Gamboa Trail, and Limekiln State
Park is next to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park which is a pretty site. There are perfect locations to explore along the North Coast Ridge Trail, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Arroyo Seco River.
Scores of fun is at this campground. Don't leave Limekiln State Park without first going for a hike along the Arroyo Seco Trail; you'll meet a lot of people from Salinas here. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Santa Lucia Range. Going for a hike on the Girard Trail is always a glorious adventure, and do schedule some
 
time to stop at Lopez Point if you have a chance.
Good hiking is available along the Summit Trail. Summertime highs at Limekiln State Park regularly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Limekiln State Park.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Santa Lucia Range. If you come at the right time of year, Arroyo Seco River offers some great whitewater, and while you're here, you could go to Limekiln Creek. This campground is a glorious spot to take a look at. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Antonio; if you fancy a little side trip, try Limekiln Canyon.
Scores of people stay at Limekiln State Park when they come to take a look at Limekiln State Park. From a rain point of view Limekiln State Park is a reasonably typical site; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. You undeniably have to pop by Limekiln State Park while you're here at Limekiln State Park, and Sand Dollar Beach is a striking beach to take a look at.
