| Park is next to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park which is a pretty site. There are perfect locations to explore along the North Coast Ridge Trail, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Arroyo Seco River.
Scores of fun is at this campground. Don't leave Limekiln State Park without first going for a hike along the Arroyo Seco Trail; you'll meet a lot of people from Salinas here. Good hiking is available along the Summit Trail. Summertime highs at Limekiln State Park regularly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the
50's; winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Limekiln State Park.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Santa Lucia Range. If you come at the right time of year, Arroyo Seco River offers some great whitewater, and while you're here, you could go to Limekiln Creek. This
campground is a glorious spot to take a look at. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Antonio; if you fancy a little side trip, try Limekiln Canyon.
