Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cleghorn Bar Trail; paddling on Indian Creek Feather Tributary is so much fun. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a fine time. Get drenched paddling on Feather River - Middle Fork, and Plumas-Eureka State Park is worth checking out. At this campground you will always have a magnificent time. Hiking along the Third Divide Trail is nice fun, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lightning Tree; Claremont Trail is a delightful local trail. Lightning Tree gets a normal amount of rain; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. If you love the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting   bored is not something that is likely to happen. A visit to California is not complete without some camping. Lightning Tree is one of the places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You can spot Radio Hill from Lightning Tree, and Lightning Tree is right by the Eureka Lake Trail. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go back home again. The Finger Board Trail offers hiking at its best, and glide down the rapids of Feather River - Middle Fork in a kayak. This campground is a scenic place to check out. East Branch Mill Creek is a nice local stream, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Plumas National Forest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lightning Tree. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Lightning Tree dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
