do; get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary.
If you come to this campground, you will have a great time for sure. On a fine day at Lakehead Campground you can take a hike along the Castle Lake Trail; a visit to Castle Crags State Park is a delightful idea. It's out of the question to run out of entertaining stuff to do next to Lakehead Campground; it's one of those locations where everything is delightful.

the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lakehead Campground, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, frequently in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lakehead Campground temperatures plunge to the 20's. It's unhealthy to spend too much time in the city; you've gotta get out sometimes, and Lakehead Campground in California is a really delightful location to spend some time.
You're sure to run into some good folks from Lakehead here, and don't miss out on a spree to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area while you're here. Gotta ski! Mount Shasta is a delightful spot to do that, and hiking along the Dry Creek Trail is magnificent fun.
