Not far from Lake Place Resort you locate Buckingham Point, and a pleasant spree to Paradise Valley is a nice way to spend an afternoon. Anderson Marsh State Park is both glorious and striking, and it's near Lake Place Resort, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Cadd Fire Trail. Coming to this campground is always a magnificent idea. There are great spots to explore along the Bathhouse Trail, and a fine location for whitewater paddling is Big Sulphur Creek. Lake Place Resort is a campground prized by the folks in Glenhaven. The yearly precipitation here at Lake Place Resort is about average; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is frequently the driest month.
