| | I am the Parks Department's research writer, and my job is to write the brochure text for each park in our system. Lake Perris State Recreation Area (SRA) is the only name of the park. There is no Lake Perris State Park. The SRA is so large that it is easy to think that it comes in more than one segment.
When you are at Lake Perris SRA you are visiting one of the system's most popular parks. Visitors drive for long distances to enjoy the lake and campgrounds, and to visit the Indian Museum. Local residents love to take advantage of their proximity |
to this park, and it is true that Perris residents are among our many visitors.
Perris Beach is part of Lake Perris SRA, so if you are at Perris Beach that is because you are at Lake Perris SRA. Perris Beach is not a separate entity from Lake Perris SRA. It is only one feature

On a nice day at Lake Perris State Recreation Area you can take a hike along the East Horsetheif Trail; a day at Perris Beach is time well spent. If you come to this campground, you will have a good time for sure. Go for a hike on the Coldwater Trail. Lake Perris State Recreation Area is a location that is reasonably dried out typically; through January this area sees the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at Lake Perris State Recreation Area you can play some golf at North Golf Course, and Perris Reservoir is a fine lake close by. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Snow
Valley, and paddling on Santa Margarita River is so much fun. All through the summertime months at Lake Perris State Recreation Area highs are regularly in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the wintertime this
place gets highs in the 60's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Perris State Recreation Area temperatures descend to the 40's.
This campground has so much enjoyable stuff to offer. Going for a hike on the Trabuco Canyon Trail is always a magnificent adventure,
and California Citrus State Park is a great place to go. So much cool stuff to do here at Lake Perris State Recreation Area, too fine to be true. You'll meet a lot of people from Perris here, and the Morgan Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by.
