Hiking along the Reed Reef Trail is magnificent fun; a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Piru Creek. Kenney Grove Park is a location that is rather dehydrated typically; February is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This place, the Sierra Madre, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Near Kenney Grove Park you find Snow Canyon which is a magnificent site to visit, and Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is a wonderful local destination.
