If by chance you enjoy whitewater, there is the Falls to Lake Mendocino portion, a class II+(III) whitewater run on Russian River - East Fork, 2.6 miles from start to finish. The Falls to Lake Mendocino portion of Russian River - East Fork is fitting for whitewater boaters who have been whitewater kayaking and rafting for a period of time but who are not yet prepared for the especially       perilous rapids. Check current conditions ahead of going on the whitewater, or else it's not safe. 386 feet is the difference between top and bottom of nearby Elk Knob Trail. Elk Knob Trail is 0.7 miles of backcountry trekking passing   through some exceptionally stunning spots. A stunning one hour of backcountry trekking looms for you along the Elk Knob Trail. The 1,427 foot difference in height Middle Creek Flat Trail is a charming place to go hiking; it's 1.5 miles of splendid hiking. A splendid two and a half hours of hiking awaits you along the Middle Creek Flat Trail.
