Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sulphur Creek, and nearby you come across the Middle Creek Flat Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Anderson Marsh State Park is a gorgeous site any time of year, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Bucknell Trail. If you want to hit the     beach, Indian Beach is close at hand, and spots like Clear Lake State Park are pleasant to explore. Island Park is a good place of common rain; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. California is a glorious spot for campers. Go for a hike on the Elk Knob Trail, and Cache Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. Coming to this campground is always a glorious idea. And that's not all you can do here at Island Park. A golf course right next door to Island Park is Buckingham Country Club, and if you're here, you might as well visit High Valley. There's lots of outdoors recreation available in the neighborhood such as fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, swimming, and playing golf, so you won’t get bored. Island Park is a very popular campground with the folks in Clearlake Oaks.
