| | We've had our yearly family camping for many years at Horse Heaven Group Camp, I have no idea where you would go swimming, golfing, or white water rafting at this camp ground. Are you confusing this with another camp ground? Says Karen Russell

outdoors entertaining things the area right next door to Horse Heaven Group has to offer. If you're popping by Horse Heaven Group from Escondido, you won't be the only one, and Cabrillo National Monument is a great place close by.

| probably hooked on lakes, Lake Hodges is one of those nearby; don't leave without stopping by Torrey Pines State Beach.
So many fun things in close proximity to Horse Heaven Group, and it is a perfect escape from everyday life. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Santa Margarita River, and San Pasqual Battlefield State Park is a good spot to go. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Escondido Creek, and enjoy a round of golf at Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club.

Horse Heaven Group in California is the outdoors at its greatest. Horse Heaven Group is a very popular campground among the folks of Escondido. The great variety of local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are good incentives to come.
Summertime at Horse Heaven
Group comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 60's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Horse Heaven Group plunge into the 40's. The Vineyard
Golf Course is a fine golf course nearby; there's whitewater on Los Penasquitos Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. California is a perfect spot for campers.
Horse Heaven Group gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
