Catfish Beach is right next door to High Sierra Campground and is a delightful beach to explore, and at High Sierra Campground you always meet someone from Canyon Dam. here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest is a wonderful site to explore, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Feather River - North Fork. A lot of people choose High Sierra Campground
| to be close to Catfish Beach. The amount of rain that falls at High Sierra Campground is close to the national average; most of the snow falls through January, and July on the other hand is the driest. This is a tremendous campground. Big Cove is around here and always good to explore; High Sierra Campground is right by the Lassen Trail. California is a really good site to spend some time. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to High Sierra Campground. Get drenched paddling on Indian Creek Feather Tributary, and the Yellow Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This campground is
so tremendous. Hiking is a popular thing to do around High Sierra Campground; Pacific Crest Trail - section 16 is a tremendous local trail. Quite a lot of entertaining stuff to do in close proximity to High Sierra Campground, and it is one of many good campgrounds in this area.
Summertime highs at High Sierra Campground mostly tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at High Sierra Campground descend
into the 10's. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. While you're here at High Sierra Campground, you could also go to gorgeous Lake Almanor, and a trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park is recommended. There's
more to do in the neighborhood of High Sierra Campground other than just hanging out such as swimming, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so perhaps you want to stay a bit. Whitewater paddling is nice on Feather River - North Fork, and Lassen National Forest is a nice place. High Sierra Campground is exceptionally well liked by people from Canyon Dam.
