Willow Meadow   is a charming place any time of year, and the Atwell Hockett Trail offers hiking at its best. Headquarters gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This section of California is always a pleasure to stop by through camping season. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Kaweah River - Middle Fork, and there are plenty of folks from Sequoia National Park here at Headquarters. The brilliant people who run this place and the loads of amusing stuff to do attract people from far and wide. This is such a fun place for a campground. Kaweah River - North Fork is a splendid whitewater spot near Headquarters; Clover Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. Through the summer months at Headquarters temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Headquarters temperatures descend to the 20's. Headquarters is situated in the Southern Sierra Nevada.
