| | The Hawks Nest is a nice and peaceful place to just go relax. We have been there twice and just love it. You are only 25 miles away from Medicine Lake & 15 mile from the Lava Beds. We visited other camp grounds and have not been treated half as nice as we have been here. Dave his wife made us feel like we were at home. We even reserved our spot for the next trip. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range, too magnificent to be true. Everybody loves Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park. At Hawk's Nest you don’t see much rain; during December this area sees the most snow while July is mostly the driest month.
