| | Our family used to live in Reno, NV and would go to Grovers often. We loved to camp in the area and loved the hot springs and swimming pool. In the nice weather hiking was a favorite thing for us to do then take a long wonderful soak. In the winter we loved to use the hot springs and watch the snow falling down. We now live back Chicago and visit Reno at least once a year - Grovers is always a place we visit while there. As wonderful as Chicago is we truly miss Grovers! Says The Nevins's Family

Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Los Penasquitos Creek. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more amusing things to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. The Middle Peak Loop Trail is a splendid hiking trail right next door to
| Grover Hot State Parkrings State Park, and Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is both tremendous and pretty. Coming to this campground is always a wonderful idea. The wonderful folks of Alpine like to hang out close by; hiking along the Horsethief Ridge Trail is splendid fun. It is very dry here at Grover Hot State Parkrings State Park generally; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is July.

Park, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Monument Trail. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Cleveland National Forest is a brilliant place to explore on a pretty day. A lake close
by is Loveland Reservoir, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Corte Madera Trail.
High temperatures at Grover Hot State Parkrings State Park through the summertime are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Grover Hot State Parkrings State Park tend to be in the 40's.
