All the delightful local attractions close by and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation are tremendous incentives to come. There are some great whitewater spots on Lavezzola Creek; popping by Plumas-Eureka State Park is a splendid thing to do. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Take a hike |
on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15; Grizzly Valley is also a perfect location to explore. There are so many entertaining things next to Grizzly Country Store; it is a glorious campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff right next door to Grizzly Country Store.
| A common amount of rain falls here at Grizzly Country Store; January is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. The Deer Lake Trail offers hiking at its best; Grasshopper Flat is a fine location. And that's not all there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. a look at. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - North Fork, and a visit to Tahoe National Forest when you're here is never a bad idea. Summertime highs at Grizzly Country Store frequently tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's.
The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Grizzly Country Store dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. There's nice hiking along the Haskell Peak Trail, and good skiing awaits you at Royal Gorge. Grizzly Country Store is loved
by folks from Portola. At Grizzly Valley Dam close to Grizzly Country Store there are some interesting things to see, and get dripping wet paddling on Feather River - Middle Fork. Loads of fun is at this campground. Don't forget to take a great little trip to Dan Blough Creek,
and Grizzly Country Store is right by the Eureka Lake Trail. There's a heap of outdoors recreation available close by such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do.
