If you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - South Fork offers some magnificent whitewater; don't leave Giant Gap without first going for a hike along the South Yuba Trail. This campground is so nice. A trip to Empire Mine State Park when you're here at Giant Gap is a brilliant idea; the Halls Ranch Trail offers hiking at its best. Giant Gap sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Golf can be played at Nevada County Country Club;   whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yuba River - Middle Fork. If you get bored of Giant Gap, you could also have a look at close by Lava Cap Reservoir, and the panorama of Sugarloaf Mountain is pretty. Giant Gap is a campground relatively often visited by the folks of Nevada City. Everybody needs to go camping for a couple of days once in a while, and Giant Gap in California is a great place to go. Loads of folks stay here for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Empire Mine State Park. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a good time. During the days of summer at Giant Gap temperatures are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
