Ringgold Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and in case you don’t mind getting wet,   you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - South Fork. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Gerle Creek; the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Gerle Creek is one of the places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The staff that manages this campground and the perfect facilities have people coming here. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and playing golf, so you won’t get bored. Cosumnes River - Middle Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and a pleasant spree to Coon Hollow is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon. It's out of the question to get bored in California if you like the outdoors. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. The Bake Oven Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Gerle Creek, and you'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Depot Lake. There is so much entertaining stuff close to Gerle Creek, and spending time at this campground is enormously fun. How long has it been since you went for a camping trip?
