French Meadows - Tahoe National Forest, Northern Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   This camp ground is one of the tremendous places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Nevada County Country Club, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork. Near French Meadows you locate the Humbug Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and since you're here, you could check out Gold Run. Lots of people choose French Meadows for the purpose of being near Empire Mine State Park.     Summertime highs at French Meadows ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at French Meadows are in the 20's. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yuba River - Middle Fork. Lots of fun is at this campground. Don't leave French Meadows without first going for a hike along the Green Valley Trail, and you could always look at Eagle Ravine. French Meadows is a very popular campground among the residents of Nevada City. Some of the things you can do here at French Meadows are swimming, playing golf, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do. This campground is a great   place to check out. One of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of French Meadows is Sugarloaf Mountain, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Nevada City. The South Yuba Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near French Meadows, and a spree to Empire Mine State Park is a brilliant idea. You clearly should have a thing about the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Lafayette Ridge Trail is always a splendid adventure, as expected you could also have a look at Lake Vera since you're here; it's not far at all. Selby Flat is a pretty place any time of year; going to Malakoff Diggins State Park is a good thing to do. Get your camping stuff packed and hit the road; French Meadows, California is a glorious place for getting out. You clearly should go for French Meadows. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Quail Valley Golf Course, and there are wonderful places to look at along the Halls Ranch Trail. French Meadows ordinarily gets a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. At French Meadows exciting stuff to do is plentiful, and it is one of many glorious campgrounds in this area. While popping by this area in California it's a glorious idea to go camping too.
