| | Finnon Lake is open year round. Reservations are not required but there are a limited number of weekends that the campground is reserved by large groups, usually several months in advance. Contact is through the Mosquito Volnteer Fire Association 530-622-6832(leave a clear message) and we can tell you if the weekend is reserved. We can reserve a spot for you if you wish. If you are fortunte to be ther in the mid winter months you may see a bald eagle or osprey, not to mention all the other wildlife the rest of the year. Thanks for the nice things you said |

So many local attractions and such a large number of things to do are nice causes to come. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Pigeon Roost Trail. You clearly have to like Finnon Lake. Visit Mosquito Creek while you're here
| at Finnon Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Camino Heights Golf Course. Get yourself into a kayak and hit American River - Middle Fork, and hiking along the Bake Oven Trail is splendid fun. Loads of people camp here for the purpose of being next to Marshall Gold Discovery State Park. Finnon Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. pop by Long Gulch. This is such a great campground. If the weather is splendid here at Finnon Lake, you can go for a hike along the Belix Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Placerville here. There's so much stuff to do near Finnon Lake, and it is one of lots of nice
campgrounds in this neighborhood. This is such a lovely campground. Take a hike on the Nevada Point Trail; a tour to Indian Grinding Rock State Park is a nice idea. A pleasant place like Marshall Gold Discovery State Park in the vicinity of Finnon Lake is too tremendous to
leave out, and get dripping wet paddling on Cosumnes River - Middle Fork. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are great; Finnon Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Finnon Lake, and paddling on American River -
South Fork is so much fun. Finnon Lake is a very popular old favorite campground among the residents of Placerville. All the water falling down from the sky makes Finnon Lake a wet spot; through January this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. There's more
to do close to Finnon Lake other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, playing golf, hiking, swimming, and fishing, so running out of enjoyable stuff to do won’t happen. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Finnon Lake; during summer nights
temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Finnon Lake plunge into the 30's. Hey, it's time you went on a camping trip, so what do you say? Finnon Lake is a nice local campground if you happen to be in California. California is a nice outdoors state.
