Fernwood is an old favorite with people of Carmel. This campground is so beautiful. At Fernwood you can catch a glimpse of Little River Hill, and you can go for a hike on the San Clemente Trail. and is always a diversion to explore. All through the summer highs here at Fernwood get into the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and nighttime lows at Fernwood through the wintertime mostly
drop into the 30's. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do in the Santa Lucia Range. You have to go to Point Sur when you're here at Fernwood; Big Sur River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. There's so much to do at Fernwood including swimming, fishing, hiking,
and whitewater paddling, so it's out of the question to get bored. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. While you're here at Fernwood you will meet lots of folks from close by Carmel; there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Buzzards
Roost Trail. You absolutely should explore Andrew Molera State Park if you're here at Fernwood; on a pretty day you can stop by Pfeiffer Beach. A trip to Wreck Beach in the vicinity of Fernwood is always a good idea; paddling on Carmel River is so much fun. Whohoo, so much
amusing stuff in one place! Fernwood is so good!. From a rain point of view Fernwood is a pretty typical place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while August is mostly the driest month.
