| | The great folks who control this place and the nice facilities are rather remarkable. It's not possible to run out of entertaining stuff to do close to Dekkas Rock; a lot of folks enjoy coming here to get away. Dekkas Rock is a relatively wet place ordinarily with much precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This is such a fun spot for a campground. Near Dekkas Rock you stumble on a golf course called Allen's Golf Course, and if you come at the right time of year, Bear Creek |
offers some pleasant whitewater. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cottonwood Creek - North Fork, and hiking along the Dry Creek Trail is nice fun.
This part of California is always a joy to take a look at throughout camping season.
| Summertime highs at Dekkas Rock usually tend to be in the 90's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Dekkas Rock temperatures drop to the 30's.
