| | There are so many exciting things to do in the vicinity of Dark Canyon; to be here is always fun. Dark Canyon is a location that is quite dehydrated frequently; during January this area sees the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. This is a magnificent campground. An afternoon playing golf at Colton Golf Course is always a diversion, and there are other locations here than Dark Canyon, for example Secombe Lake.

Canyon Trail, and Lake Perris State Park is a good spot to visit. If you are in California during camping season, you must go camping.

For you golfers we recommend nearby San Bernardino Golf Club. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Dark Canyon called the Cable Canyon Trail, and some close by water includes San Timoteo Wash. A campground like this is too magnificent
to miss. Going for a hike on the Fredalba Trail is always a nice adventure, and Silverwood Lake State Park is a wonderful spot.
