| | We should all go camping for a couple of days every now and then, and Coyote Group, California is a great site for getting out. All the splendid local attractions in the neighborhood and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation are glorious reasons to come.
Coyote Group is a very popular campground with people of Nevada City. Man, is there a heap of cool stuff to do right next door to Coyote Group. This is a brilliant vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lava Cap Reservoir is a lake close at hand. If you're here at Coyote Group and you like golf, |
you can take a look at Quail Valley Golf Course, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Yuba River - Middle Fork.
Coyote Group is one of the spots to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Coyote Group ordinarily gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of January is the
| wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Eagle Ravine is a brilliant site to look at, and Coyote Group is right by the South Yuba Trail.
All the positive folks and lots of entertaining things to do are reason enough to come here. A visit to Empire Mine State Park when you're here at Coyote Group is a splendid idea, and you'll meet a lot of people from Nevada City here. Group, you could go to Gold Run, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Halls Ranch Trail.
There's a lot of outdoors recreation available in the neighborhood such as playing golf, hiking, swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so it's impossible to get bored.
A visit to California is not complete without some camping.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Hiking along the Lafayette Ridge Trail is wonderful fun; Selby Flat is right here at Coyote Group. This campground
is always a bliss. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, and from Coyote Group you get a tremendous view of Sugarloaf Mountain.
This is such a fun spot for a campground. Going for a hike along
the Green Valley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and a trip to Malakoff Diggins State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. For the period of the summer months at Coyote Group temperatures are typically in the 80's. All through the dark hours of
summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Coyote Group dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Take a hike on the Humbug Trail; near Coyote
Group you come across a golf course called Nevada County Country Club.
Some people stay at this campground so they can go to Empire Mine State Park.
