Cottonwood Creek - Tahoe National Forest, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   The wonderful variety of local attractions and such a great deal of things to do will make you glad you came. There are so many enjoyable things to do close to Cottonwood Creek; spending time at this campground is enormously pleasant. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the amusing stuff you can do is fishing, playing golf, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so almost certainly you want to stay for a while. This spot is so good, just look at all the fun things to do close to Cottonwood Creek. Don't leave Cottonwood Creek without visiting     Malakoff Diggins State Park. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air; Cottonwood Creek, California is a glorious location for getting out. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yuba River - South Fork, and Empire Mine State Park is a nice place to go. Lots of fun is at this campground. Take a hike on the Lafayette Ridge Trail; Nevada County Country Club is a golf course nearby. While visiting this region in California it's a glorious idea to go camping for a couple of days too. The South Yuba Trail offers hiking at its best, and the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain can be observed from Cottonwood Creek. Cottonwood Creek is a campground pretty frequently visited by people from Nevada City. And if that's not enough there's a heap more amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra   Nevada. While you're here at Cottonwood Creek it's a great idea to take a look at Selby Flat, and don't forget to take a great little trip to Gold Run. The glorious folks who manage this location and the capably run operations are a wonderful draw for a lot of folks. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always stunning. Hiking along the Halls Ranch Trail is brilliant fun; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Yuba River - Middle Fork. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the Green Valley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and a golf course nearby is Quail Valley Golf Course. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Cottonwood Creek get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cottonwood Creek are in the 20's. So many entertaining things to do at Cottonwood Creek, so little time. Cottonwood Creek is right by the Humbug Trail; you'll stumble on a lovely lake called Lava Cap Reservoir. This campground has so much. Eagle Ravine is a glorious place to spend some time at, and lots of folks from Nevada City come here. Cottonwood Creek is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
