| | Enjoy our riverfront family campground and RV park on the ''wild and scenic'' Kern River!! Fish year round on one of the finest trout fishing rivers in California. All of our sites have water and electric, and we also have full hook-up sites with water, electric, sewer and cable! Our sparkling clean bathrooms have coin op hot showers. We also have a dump station. We are walking distance to a grocery store, laundromat, restaurants and river rafting companies.
We have large, shaded sites with many being riverfront or creekside. We pride ourselves on |
being a clean, quiet family campground. We are ''quiet'' pet friendly!!
We have firewood, ice and vending machines at the office.

| | nearby loves skiing at Shirley Meadow, and the Tobias Creek Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Southern Sierra Nevada has to offer. On a brilliant day at Camp James you can take a hike along the Cannell Meadow Trail, and nearby you locate good spots like Noyer Canyon. Yeah, come here to Camp James for a brilliant time. Going for a hike on the Virginia Trail is always a great adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Brush Creek offers some brilliant whitewater. This campground | |

is a wonderful place to pop by. Get soaked paddling on Kern River, and there are good sites to look at along the Old Sled Trail.
Sequoia National Forest is a nice place to take a look at on a beautiful day, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Kernville for
sure. Throughout the summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Camp James. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Camp James are in the 20's. At this campground you will always
have a great time. A lake nearby is Isabella Lake, and some close by water includes Caldwell Creek.
Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Southern Sierra Nevada is great! Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kern River, and close by you discover the Bull Run Cattle
Drive which is a tremendous hiking trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Camp James; January is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
