For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Camp James. Camp James is a very popular old favorite campground among people of Kernville. If you like the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Camp James. There's whitewater on Brush Creek for all you thrill seekers, and lots of folks from Kernville come here.

Quite a lot of entertaining things to do next to Camp James, and it indisputably is a pleasant campground. Camp James is a good place of normal rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. There's nice hiking along the Bull Run Cattle Drive, and swing by Caldwell Creek it's a glorious place to check out.

A spree to Noyer Canyon is always fun, and Camp James is right by the Old Sled Trail.
This section of California has a pleasant deal of outdoors activities at your disposal. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Southern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kern River, and
don't leave Camp James without first going for a hike along the Cannell Meadow Trail.
