You can run the rapids of Stanislaus River - North Fork next to Camp Connell; the great folks of Arnold like to hang out close by. Camp Connell typically gets a great deal of precipitation; all through   January this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Famous California welcome and the well taken care of facilities are in themselves incentive enough to come here. Mokelumne River - North Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot close to Camp Connell; there's a pleasant forest called North Grove. There's no way to get bored in California if you have a thing about the outdoors. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Camp Connell has it all. A great spot to pop by in the vicinity of Camp Connell is Squaw Hollow, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Bear Valley. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Meadowmont Golf Course; a fine location for whitewater paddling is Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. This campground has so much amusing stuff to offer. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Camp Connell, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Camp Connell are in the 30's.
