It's just not possible to get bored in California if you fancy the outdoors. This is a great campground. Going for a hike on the Finger Board Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and Plumas National Forest is both glorious and wonderful. always having a brilliant time. Good hiking is available along the Third Divide Trail; a good place for whitewater paddling is Feather River - Middle Fork. Summertime highs at Big Cove generally tend to be in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The winter
| brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Big Cove dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Big Cove gets a normal amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. on Indian Creek Feather Tributary for all you thrill seekers. A campground like this is too great to miss. Don't leave Big Cove without first going for a hike along the Eureka Lake Trail, and Plumas-Eureka State Park is a glorious spot to stop at on a beautiful day. The great
pick of local attractions, and the great variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back time and again. There's more to do in close proximity to Big Cove other than just hanging out such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do.
There's just no way someone can get bored here at Big Cove. There are perfect locations to explore along the Cleghorn Bar Trail, and you can run the rapids of Feather River - Middle Fork. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern
Sierra Nevada. Looking for some flowing water? Try East Branch Mill Creek, and Radio Hill is lovely and can be spotted from here. Big Cove is liked by folks from Quincy. Near Big Cove you discover the Claremont Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and a trip to American Valley revives the soul.
