  Quite a lot of amusing stuff to do near Bear River Campground, and camping is such an enjoyable activity, and this is a wonderful place to do that. This campground is so delightful. Have a great hiking adventure along the South Yuba Trail; a golf course close by is Darkhorse Golf Club. Bear River Campground gets a good deal of water; January is the wettest month
    with most rain; July is when it's the driest.
If the weather is perfect here at Bear River Campground, you can go for a hike along the Humbug Trail. There's more to do near Bear River Campground other than just hanging out such as playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking,
so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Nearby Hidden Valley is a tremendous spot to go if you're at Bear River Campground; if you come at the right time of year, American River - North Fork offers some wonderful whitewater.
The American Eagle Trail is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Bear River Campground; you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Royal Gorge. Loads of people camp here when going to Empire Mine State Park.
