the Fredalba Trail is always a nice adventure, unsurprisingly you could also have a look at Secombe Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. There are so many amusing things right next door to Barton Flats, and it is a good escape from the mundane.
A visit to Barton Flats
wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby Lake Perris State Park, and an afternoon playing golf at Colton Golf Course is always a delight. Not much rain falls here at Barton Flats; most of the rain falls throughout January, and the driest month is June. This is such a striking
campground. You might want to pay a visit to Reche Canyon if you're here at Barton Flats; the Miller Canyon Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
Go for a hike on the Government Canyon Trail, and some of the water close by flows, like San Timoteo Wash.
