All the water falling down from the sky makes Promise Land Resort a wet place; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month is January. This campground is always a diversion. Promise Land Resort is not far at all from Bull Shoals; if you come at the right time of year, Crooked Creek offers some nice whitewater.
