| | Park Ridge RV Campground
My husband are traveling cross-country from California along Highway 40. Park Ridge RV Campground is our fourth stop and the best so far. They are nestled by a hillside with access to Lee Creek which might be full of fish for all we know. It is very serene here and the leaves are beginning to pop on the pecan trees.
They have a little country store that is really nice. Everyone here is very friendly and the proprietors live on the premises.
Laundry and shower facilities are well kept. It is a few blocks |
off Hwy 40 but oh, so quiet. Loads of birds.
Full Hook-ups, and pull-through sites. I would love to be able to have stayed longer but we will definitely come back!

| | it's near Overland RV Park; a tremendous location like Lake Fort Smith State Park is too fine to leave out. So many fun things to do here in the Boston Mountains, too tremendous to be true. Louemma Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and there are plenty of folks from Van Buren here. A campground like this is too wonderful to miss. A journey to Devil's Den State Park when you're here at Overland RV Park is a delightful idea. Cedars Country Club is always a diversion.
You absolutely should have a thing about Overland RV Park. You can run the rapids of Cedar Creek - East Fork close to Overland RV Park, and FT Smith Country Club is a golf course nearby. This campground is so wonderful. Good hiking
is available along the Butterfield Hiking Trail; get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Cedar Creek - West Fork. All year is a perfect time in the Boston Mountains if you go for the outdoors. There's whitewater on Cedar Creek for all you adrenaline junkies; a golf
course nearby is Deer Trails Golf Course.
Through the summer at Overland RV Park highs are mostly in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Overland
RV Park tend to be in the 20's. Overland RV Park commonly gets a great deal of rain; through May this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture.
